Toys, Sex, and Other Ways to Spice Up Life by Kelli Kamryn
The idea for the series The Harders came to me one day when I wanted to create a family who was over the top, but they also loved each other fiercely. As people often do, they mean well, yet they have a difficult time staying out of each other’s business. Each book features one of the Harder siblings as they grow personally and within their relationships. Each person is unique as is their situation. The fifth and final book in the series—Vows, Sex, and Other Ways to Celebrate Love—is a reunion story with where we get to visit with each couple and see where they are at in their lives. We also get a glimpse of the couple who started the family—Max’s parents, Harriet and Harry—and how they keep their love and relationship growing over the years. Throw in a few surprises, and it’s a great way to celebrate love.
Thank you to The Romance Studio for featuring my book this week, and to eXtasy Books for being such a great publisher to work with.
Here’s one last excerpt from Toys, Sex, and Other Ways to Spice Up life for everyone to enjoy:
He surveyed his apartment. A little tidying appeared to be in order, as well as arranging for a family member to watch Scottie so he could give Callie his undivided attention. He tapped the screen of his cell then pressed it to his ear, waiting for his sister, Missy, to pick up.
“Hey, Missy,” he said when she answered. “Are you and Sam doing anything tonight?”
“Uh… why are you asking?”
He couldn’t blame her hesitant response. Scottie had a habit of wreaking havoc at any given moment. Scottie was jealous of Sam’s relationship with Missy and it made him act out on occasion.
“Just wondering if you could take Scottie for a few hours.” He winced in anticipation of her response.
“Oh, Max,” she groaned. “We were going to watch a movie and… head to bed.”
“Only a couple of hours. Promise,” he pleaded. “I need someone to watch him.”
“Why?” she questioned. “You don’t ever leave him with anyone.”
He hated to admit anything to his family. His sisters were always in his business. Correction—the entire family was always in each other’s business, no matter how hard they tried to keep things from each other. However, if he were truthful, Missy might take pity on him. “I’ve got a date with Callie.”
Missy’s tone softened. “Just a second.” Max heard mumbling in the background before she came back on the line. “Sure, Sam says we will take him for a couple of hours.”
Relief flowed through him. “Thanks, sis. I’ll make it up to you.”
Remember the first book in the series is free at eXtasy Books, and the fifth book will be out November 10th!
