Toys, Sex, and Other Ways to Spice Up Life
Erotic romance is fun to write as an author. I love to push the boundaries of what is possible in love, sex and romance. I also like to add humor because in real life, our sex lives don’t always go as planned. Being able to laugh with your partner(s) is a real lesson in love, trust, and communication.
As a reader, what books do you enjoy that push the boundaries for you?
Here’s an excerpt where things don’t go smoothly for two of the characters:
More stumbling and flailing ensued, with her dancing around the living room, trying every move in the book to stay upright and get rid of the damn pants. The result—both feet became tangled, and she lost her balance completely. She fell and hit the floor on her knees in front of Max, her face buried in his crotch.
Despite her predicament, giggles erupted. Not exactly the way she’d seen herself getting to his cock, but it had the desired effect nonetheless.
“Whoa! Hey!”
Her mirth had distracted her from the real outcome of her folly. The force with which she’d landed in Max’s lap had knocked him off balance, and in the next second the stool tipped backward. As he landed on his back, she went with him. Her shriek was smothered by his balls and cock.
Callie scrambled to get off of him, finally pulling the jeans off of her feet. “Oh my god! I’m so sorry, so sorry…”
“Oh Christ,” Max groaned.
“Are you okay?” She tugged on his shoulder to try to get him upright, but it proved to be a futile effort. A huge man, Callie could barely budge him. “Crap. This wasn’t part of the plan.”
“Help me roll to the side,” he suggested.
Max used his ab strength, and Callie used all of hers to roll him onto his side. Once he was over, she un-cuffed him, and he was able to get up off the ground. He sat on his butt and massaged his shoulders.
Callie helped him massage his body, placing kisses on all the spots she thought were sore from the fall. “This isn’t how I thought things would go. This all seemed so much sexier in my head.”
Max kissed the top of her head. “No blood, nothing broken. I might be sore for a few days, but the best things in life are sometimes worth a little pain.”
Callie smiled. “If you say so.” She glanced down at herself in her bra and matching panties. Then she took in Max’s erection, which hadn’t disappeared despite the mishap. She looked up into his eyes. “Now what?”
Max shrugged. “On with the show?”
