The Santa Bargain is my newest release. It’s a steamy Christmas romance.
Festival organizer, Maria Thompson, desperately needs someone to be Santa in the holiday parade and she’s running out of options. Sexy Joe Sinclair will happily do the job…for a price.
Thanks for checking out The Santa Bargain. Have a merry and bright holiday season!
Santa’s gifts can be both nice…and naughty.
Coffeehouse entrepreneur, Maria Thompson, has sworn off men ever since her young son’s father walked out of their lives. But, when she literally runs into sexy carpenter, Joe Sinclair, she wonders if it’s time to rethink her plan.
Joe Sinclair doesn’t need or want romance or a family. He was raised in the foster care system and learned long ago not to get attached to anyone. Now, if he could just remember that, he could put the sensual owner of Copper River, Colorado’s new coffee shop out of his mind.
After Maria and Joe volunteer to work together on the town’s first Christmas festival, their attraction lights up brighter than a new a string of holiday lights. When Santa comes to town, will they finally find everything they’ve ever wished for under the tree?
(In this excerpt, Zach is single-mom, Maria’s, 5 year old son. Joe is dating her, but afraid to love anyone because he was abandoned to the foster care system as a boy. He’s determined not to let Maria and Zach get under his skin, except he can’t seem to stay away from them.)
Maria leaned in, brushing the angle of his jaw with her lips and catapulting his pulse into overdrive. “We should get going, Joe. We’ve got dinner reservations.”
She knelt to embrace her son. “Give me a kiss, sweetie. Be good for Gwen.”
The little boy obediently pressed his lips to her cheek, then surprised Joe by holding his arms out. “I want to give Joe a kiss, too.”
He wasn’t sure if he should feel elated or horrified. The child’s innocent request made him smile like a Cheshire cat, while simultaneously causing a knot the size of a baseball to form in the pit of his stomach. He was beginning to like the kid and his mother too damned much and that completely scared the crap out of him.
Maria cleared her throat. “Don’t pester Joe, sweetie. How about if you settle for another kiss from me?”
“No way,” Joe interrupted, catching her gaze. “I never turn down kisses.” He squatted and Zach’s arms fastened tightly around his neck. A moment later, the boy’s lips grazed his cheek and Joe felt warmth spreading through his midsection.
Sonofabitch. He was so screwed.
