When a sexy genie sets out to capture the tooth fairy, who knows what mayhem will ensue!
Rhiannon is sick and tired of her job. She wants out. Literally. For the past six hundred years she’s been the Genie in the Lamp. You know the drill. Some dumb human comes along, rubs the lamp, and presto! Rhiannon has to grant them three wishes. She’s tired of humans, and she’s tired of making their dreams come true. She petitions the head of the Council of the Fae to replace her, and she’s ecstatic when her request is granted.
Of course, there’s one teensie little condition. Isn’t there always?
She has to travel to the far reaches of the fairy realm and convince the tooth fairy to go back to work. It seems she isn’t the only who’s tired of her job. And when she finds the elusive fairy, he’s nothing like what she expected. It’s time to turn the tables on the Council of the Fae
“Is that a question?” An almost predatory smile lit his rugged face.
She nodded, amazed at the number of butterflies vying for wing room in her belly. It was no biggie. If he had a girlfriend, she’d finish her coffee and move on. He didn’t owe her anything.
“No girlfriend hiding in the bushes. I’m free as a bird.” He reached across the table, using one finger to lift her chin. “Care to audition for the position?”
Rhiannon burst out laughing. She hated to admit how happy that one little fact made her feel. “That sounds so corny for someone in biker getup. If I didn’t have a deadline, I might take you up on it. But I really do need to find that darn tooth fairy.”
“Tell you what.” Jack leaned back in his chair, regarding her with a mixture of mirth and desire. “Give me twenty-four hours of your incredibly valuable time, and then I promise I’ll help you look for the tooth fairy.”
She wanted to say yes in the worst way, so why did she hesitate? A day in the company of the one guy she’d never managed to get over was incredibly tempting, but if the Council of the Fae found out she wasn’t putting her entire focus on the search, would they rescind the offer? She wrinkled her nose, not sure what to say.
“Silence. Great for a guy’s ego.” Jack put his hand over his heart. “You wound me to the core. I’m starting to think the tooth fairy gig is just an excuse not to have to spend any time with me.”
Rhiannon laughed. “You are so not the wounded heart kind of guy. The thing is, if the Council of the Fae find out I’m running around with a hunk of a biker instead of looking for the stupid fairy they lost they might do something I don’t like.”
Jack grinned. “They’ll never know. I promise. No repercussions from the Council of the Fae. I’m real good at hiding from them.”
“Yeah?” Could she believe him? She really wanted to. The thought of even one glorious night spent in the arms of her former lover sent shivers of anticipation racing through her.
“Yeah. Come here.” He leaned across the table and seared a kiss across her lips, catching her bottom lip in his teeth and tugging gently before he captured her lips again.
He was a good kisser. A really good kisser. She closed her eyes, parting her lips, and Jack took immediate advantage, thrusting his tongue deep. She countered with her own tongue, engaging him in an erotic duel that hinted at so much more.
“Hey.” The voice of the fairy sounded vaguely annoyed. “You two can’t do that here. This is a respectable coffee shop. Go get a room.”
Jack lifted his head, staring at Rhiannon, his eyes dark with lust. “Sounds like a plan to me. Shall we?”
“Shall we what?” Rhiannon was having trouble concentrating on anything except the liquid heat racing through her veins at his touch. She wanted him. Bad.
“Get a room.”
“Oh.” She stared at him blankly before the meaning sunk in. “Oh. A room. Yeah.” She nodded vigorously. Best idea since genie lamps with built in wet-bars.
Jack stood, throwing a handful of bills on the table. Grabbing her hand, he urged her to her feet and dropped an arm across her shoulder. “Hotel’s right across the road.”
The guy must be some kind of magician. He managed to get them across the road, into the hotel, registered and up to a lovely room with a sumptuous looking king-sized bed without letting go of her. Good thing. She wasn’t sure she could bear to let him go.
The door clicked shut behind them and Jack turned, trapping her against the wall with one muscular arm on either side of her face. This close, the smell of warm leather overwhelmed her senses. His eyes burned into her as he slowly lowered his head to nuzzle the soft skin at the side of her neck.
Rhiannon closed her eyes, letting her senses luxuriate in the feel of his hard masculine body pressing against her. There was no doubt that he wanted her. The thick outline of his rigid shaft pressed into her belly, promising untold delights to come.
She felt her nipples harden in response to the moist heat of his mouth as he nibbled his way from her neck to her ear, using his teeth to tug sharply on the sensitive lobe. Her breasts ached, longing to feel his hands on them and she wriggled impatiently against him.
She needed to get out of this leather outfit, needed to feel his naked skin rubbing against hers. Genies weren’t known for their patience and she certainly wasn’t the exception that proved the rule. Fumbling with the snaps on her jacket, she managed to shrug out of the form-fitting garment, leaving only a sheer silk shirt to guard her breasts.
Jack came to her aid, unbuckling her chaps and letting them drop to the floor. He paused for a moment before pulling her back into his arms, his gaze roaming possessively over her silk-clad body.
He groaned softly and lowered his head to retake possession of her lips.
Yup, definitely the best kisser she’d ever tangled with. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she kissed him back with every ounce of lust she could muster.
