Immortality’s Gift Book 2 of The Immortals Series by Michael Mandrake #vampires #paranormal #darkromance #MPREG
Book 2 released in July and I’ve received great reviews on it so far. Here is the blurb and excerpt from my exciting dark paranormal series!
Vampire Ryland Durand is fiercely committed to his lovers, Ryder and Dale. However, his feelings for Valios the Soul Sucker Demon are stronger than he’d first thought. In his recent visit to The Realm, Ryland discovered Valios had made his two biggest nemeses part of his horde. Though this infuriates him, his emotions for Valios remain.
Head demon Valios believes he’s head over heels in love with Ryland. Despite warnings from his fathers, Valios continues to pursue the vampire without regard for Ryland’s other commitments. To win his love, Valios concocts a scheme that will build a bond between them forever.
Ryland’s human lover, music sensation Dale Mooney, is ready to become a vampire. His three-way relationship with Ryland and Ryder is good, but he wants that deeper connection with his vampire lovers, and won’t feel complete until that happens. Being a human is boring anyway.
As Ryland and Dale move toward a deeper union, Valios plots to cause a rift between them. Valios may not be able to overcome his own “imperfection”, but he’s determined that one of them will carry the symbol of his undying affection for Ryland through all eternity.
Warning: This is a dark romance! Book contains MPREG, violence, rough sex, and elements of torture.
Excerpt: This features Dale and Ryder, Ryland’s lovers.
“Ryder?”
Dale Mooney, crime scene investigator and Waylon Mooney’s brother, called out to his other lover. He’d been trying his best to stay busy with his music, knowing Ryland was visiting the demon in purgatory. Dale feared Valios would harm Ryland because of his desires. Of course, his vampire had told him not to worry.
Although still human, Dale enjoyed being in a relationship with two immortals. Like his brother Waylon, he enjoyed things abnormal. When Ryland had approached him almost three years ago about being his lover, he’d jumped at the chance. Despite the rocky start, and Ryder causing issues in their relationship, he’d grown to love both men. Unlike before when he struggled for money, now he was part of a family, not having to worry about his financials because Ryland and Ryder were successful club owners. As a musician, he’d made a nice bit of cash as well, so now he felt as if he were contributing to the household.
“Yeah, babe?” Ryder stepped out from behind the curtain in the basement of their mansion in the Garden District. He licked the blood off his hand as he walked. Dale assumed it was his latest kill.
Unlike Ryland, Ryder’s hair was braided into an intricate design. He was dressed in skin-tight blue jeans with a black wife beater, showing off his humongous shoulders and biceps. The tattoo on the left arm, signifying his love for both Ryland and Dale shone under the lights.
“Can you contact Ry again and see when he’s coming back? I’m worried sick about him.”
Ryder stepped to Dale and grabbed his head, kissing him roughly.
Dale relaxed in his other lover’s embrace. He had to say he loved being with both the vampires, especially since they were complete opposites of one another. Dale tangled tongues with Ryder until he’d about lost his breath. The fact that Ryder had just fed added to his arousal. Dale was well used to the taste of blood now.
After a couple of moments, Ryder let go and rubbed the back of Dale’s neck. “Ry and I told ya’ not to worry. Ryland can handle himself against anyone. Including that badass demon, Valios.”
“I know, I…” Dale looked down for a few seconds, then met Ryder’s gaze again. “I’m just worried, that’s all.”
“You’re worried about what? Ryland loves us. He ain’t gonna let that asshole turn his head. I can’t believe you doubt him.”
“I’m not, I−” Dale huffed out a ragged breath. “I know Ryland won’t do anything. It’s Valios and his power to take over people’s minds. Ryland told us he’d done it to Eli before he killed him, remember?”
Ryder pressed his forehead against Dale’s. “Yeah, but Eli was a human. Ry knows how to fight that shit. I can’t wait until he shows me some of those spells too. We’re gonna be badasses, just like Valios. Might get a little revenge on that sucker!”
Dale chuckled. “I dunno about all that. Damn, Ryder. I wanna be a badass too! I’m ready to be turned. I told Ry that before he left.”
“I know. I told him you were.” Ryder kissed his forehead and let go. “I also told that stubborn brother of mine he needed to act like the killer he is, especially since he got Zylen and Eli. He needs to go hunt. He’s making me do all the work.”
“It almost sounds like he needs a reason to. I remember one night you were out hunting and he was in bed with me. He sniffed a child molester in the area and left to go catch him.”
“Yeah? Ryland didn’t share that bit of info with me and he kept that precious blood all for himself too, the bastard,” Ryder joked. “Look babe. I’ll continue to work on him about changing you. I can’t wait to show you how to hunt. Might create somewhat of a problem while you’re on tour, but…”
“Maybe. I don’t care. I wanna have that connection with the two of you. I love both of you. Equally.” Dale pulled Ryder into his arms, hugging him.
Ryder settled in Dale’s embrace, sniffing his neck. “I love you too Dale, but lemme tell you something.”
Ryder moved out of his hold then gripped Dale’s chin in his palm. “It don’t matter if you’re human or vamp. You’re ours. You belong to us.”
“I know, but I want more. I wanna be able to contact you guys without a phone. Besides, my inner serial killer is speaking to me!”
“Oh fuck, that’s hilarious,” Ryder chuckled. “You got it worse than Ryland. I swear if Ryland didn’t mind I’d turn you right now.”
Dale inched in and eyed him, cocking an eyebrow. “He’d forgive you, ya know. If he doesn’t have the heart to and you do, we can set that up right away.”
Ryder backed away with his hands up. “No way, love. Uh uh. I love you but I ain’t defying my bro. That is his job first to turn you.”
“Ugh! You brothers are killing me!”
Ryder shrugged. “We will, literally, when it’s time. Not before. Like I said, I’ll convince him. I’ll tell him that you’re more than ready.”
“Okay, but for now, could you make love to me? It turns me on when either one of you have fed. Knowin’ you just snapped someone in two, I need you inside me.”
Ryder’s eyes changed from their natural color to a freakish yellow. His fangs grew in front of Dale, turning him on more, if that were possible. “Now that, my love, I can do. Down here or in bed?”
“In bed. I want you to tie me up so I can’t move,” Dale said pulling Ryder in close and nipping his bottom lip into his own.
“Mhmm. All right then. Let’s go.” Ryder kissed him quick and lifted Dale into his arms.
Dale chuckled as Ryder carried him from the basement to the first floor of their home. When they got there, he took a few steps to the staircase, stopping to kiss him again.
“I wanna carry you over my shoulder. You know, caveman style?”
“Whatever floats your boat, babe. Do it!”
“All righty then.” Ryder adjusted Dale in his arms, tossing him over his shoulder with little effort.
Thoroughly amused, Dale continued to laugh, enjoying the night despite his insecurities. He’d be glad when Ryland would finally change him, as he’d desired for the last three years.
