How Do I Love Thee? A Valentine
Happy Valentine’s Day. A. Catherine Noon here, and I’m going to share the next five days with you as we celebrate Valentine’s Day in true TRS style. Be sure you click on the links on the right and enter the grand prize drawing, as well as prizes from participating authors. Over the next five days, we’ll be sharing content and ideas on how to have a kick-butt day.
So, for today’s first post, I thought we could talk math.
Hey, wait! Come back! It’s not painful, I promise!
Okay. So Sally gets on a train in New York going two hundred mi – KIDDING!
This math is easy. It’s counting. I won’t even make you do it in another language, though you get bonus points if you can count to five in a language not native to you (no Googling it first, either!). But here’s what I want you to do:
If you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day with someone, think about them. If you’re not, then think about yourself. Close your eyes and imagine the person. Now, starting at the top of their head, list five things you like about them. It can be physical, mental, emotional, psychic, intellectual… (Yeah, I’m not sure the difference between mental and intellectual either, but go with me here.) Now add five more. Write them down.
Then, on Tuesday, give your list to the person. This gets extra points if you do it for close friends, and not just Cupid’s victims.
So, Uno! Dos! Tres! GO!
