Good morning everyone!
My sophomore novel, Away to Me, is set in a small town called Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. It is on Nova Scotia’s scenic South Shore, and is known as “Main Street of the South Shore”, because it is the largest shopping hub between our capital city of Halifax, and a large tourist town named Yarmouth on the southern Atlantic side of the province.
Bridgewater isn’t large – under 10 thousand people according to a 2016 census – but it has a few claims to fame. It is known for its art festival – Afterglow Art Festival – that takes place the last weekend of September, and its scenic views of the LaHave River valley. The featured photo was taken during the 2019 Afterglow Art Festival. You can see the Old Bridge from my vantage point on the top part of Pijinuiskaq Park on King Street – that’s the mall on the right.
CONTEST: To enter, please comment with who you think it is. Even wrong answers will have their names put into the draw.
