Hi, everyone! I’m Tara Kingston, and I’m delighted to be a part of the End of Summer Bash. Now that fall is around the corner and the nights are getting a little cooler and a little longer, it’s a great time to curl up with a historical romance. I discovered historical romance when I was in my teens, and I’ve loved reading and writing love stories set in another time and place ever since.
Set in Victorian Scotland, The Highlander Who Loved Me is a Scottish historical romance with elements of mystery and suspense. The hero is a brash, courageous Highlander, a covert Scottish agent who comes to a desperate woman’s defense … but will his true motives destroy their chance at love and break her heart? Is he a protector? Or an enemy?
Here’s a little about the story:
A life-and-death quest…
Desperate to save her kidnapped niece, Johanna Templeton joins forces with a mysterious Highland spy to rescue the child. Drawn to the bold Scot, she longs to trust him, but she shields her love-scarred heart. He may be her fiercest ally—or an enemy set on betrayal.
Torn between duty and desire…
For Connor MacMasters, the stakes of his mission have never been higher—a child’s life is on the line. Duty demands he safeguard the rare treasure sought by the kidnappers, but he’ll do whatever it takes to save the girl and protect Johanna. The spirited American beauty ignites feelings he’d thought long dead, but loving her would be a fool’s game. Their passion awakens his long-dormant heart—Can he convince Johanna he’s the hero she needs?
