Site move is done, all went well, considering we tried to push a whole lot of camels through the eye of a needle! Here’s hoping we don’t have to do THAT again. All your Changeling links should work just the same as ever. We’re on a newer server with more memory and unlimited bandwidth, so things should load faster for you.
For those who like to know the why of things, there are new Visa/MasterCard and federal regulations requiring any site that sells with credit cards to have all the pages set to secure links — https:// vs http:// as well as other regulatory changes regarding credit card security. Hint: If you know anyone who runs a business and accepts credit cards DO NOT ask them about PCI compliance unless you want to listen to a long rant about all the regulations — even if they’re just swiping cards on their Smartphone.
The short version: Not all web hosts make it easy to meet all the PCI compliance regulations. There are changes that need to go into effect almost as often as there are Windows Updates for your computer. For us, changing hosts to a service that is set up specifically for credit card processing just made more sense. Just another layer of stress off my day!
Thanks for your patience and support — and welcome to Changeling Version 4.01 😀
