My Shadow-walkers are also rock stars who acquired supernatural powers they didn’t choose. While on tour in Romania, they each receive a different rune tattoo, but they don’t know the tattoos marked them as Shadow-walkers until Kate awakens her powers in the first book.
Sometimes, the end is really the beginning.
After destroying her successful music career, the close friendship with her bandmates, and her marriage, author Kaitlyn Storm, aka Kate Wolf, former bassist for the all-female rock band Hecate’s Fury, is given a second chance. She receives an offer to turn her book series into three movies, but her troubled rock-star past continues to haunt her.
She never expected to find love or a way back.
When she is trapped in a haunted cabin during a snowstorm with Kane Devlin, the hot Scottish movie star playing her hero, their rising passion for one another ignites. What they awakened will change their lives, but before she can move on, Kate must let go of the guilt and shame keeping her from claiming her shared destiny. For she may not know it yet, but she and her bandmates are chosen.
“Suspenseful, passionate, and sexy.”
The five young women of Hecate’s Fury are more than rock stars.
They are Shadow-walkers, chosen to help the supernatural world.
There’s just one problem—no one trained them.
After retrieving a flashlight, we went downstairs. Faint morning light shone through the large front windows. I gaped at the snowy scene outside. Everything, including the pines that had dominated the scenery in green, was completely blanketed in a mantle of white. Deep drifts covered the bottom of the glass at least two feet, and it was still snowing, a furious and endless assault.
Kane slipped his hand around mine. “We are in this together.”
I looked up at his handsome profile. Unshaven and in rumpled clothes, he looked gorgeous. He could fall into a garbage pit and come out perfect.
“I feel like we are in one of my books.”
“You are like Cardea, brave and stubborn.”
“Stubborn maybe, not so sure about the brave part. I have never been so scared.” I looked back past the stairs and at that door where I’d felt an unnatural chill before. Whatever was behind there was beneath Kane’s bedroom. “And now I have to go in there.”
“I have a feeling it’s much more than a closet.” That telltale ghostly chill seized me, and I tensed. “Do you feel that?”
“Aye, it’s like death’s grip.” He grasped my shoulder, his brow furrowed, his eyes impassioned. “Before we open that door and possibly meet our end, I want to taste your lips again, my lovely, brave Katie.”
“How can I refuse a man his last wish?” The adrenaline rush of our dangerous situation swept me up like a storm-tossed wave.
His tender yet passionate kiss ignited a fire in my lower belly, and he slipped his tongue between my lips in a slow, sensual dance with mine. No, I’m not dreaming.
