Good morning all and Happy Halloween. This is a last day to post for this years TRS Spookapalooza Party. I hope you are commenting for a chance to in one of my books. My book is a true account of the horrifying double homicide of teenage lovers Todd and Annette in 1982. It as a huge case and still the worst homicide in the town’s history. So let’s get started.
Chapter 14: Prosecution Witnesses
Sheriff Jones admitted on cross-exam of how he dismissed other suspects including his friend Kevin Meyer, and several people reported Meyer. He admitted he dismissed evidence presented to him by other officers, including Det. Robert Snyder, and told Det. Snyder, “We locals can handle things.”
He claimed not to remember Dale Johnston mentioning a man by the name of Tom Dunkle during one of their interviews. He told the court that the ashes, cigarette butts, and clothing found inside the cornfield were sent to the BCI and tested but found to be “insignificant.”
He admitted he and Dale Johnston discussed Mowery’s resigning, and admitted he never took notes or taped statements with Dale or Sarah, and was unaware of Dale taping his and other officers’ conversations.
