Hello readers and authors, I will be posting about my detective crime novel, Murder Most Foul. I will also be awarding two lucky people who comment a free paperback of one of my four books. So let’s get going.
Chapter 1 Excerpt:
“No man has to force sex on girl’s like Lorena,” Vernon said, then smiled a sick grin. “She loves backdoor action jest like her mommy.” Vernon’s perverted talk, enraged Thomas, and he went for his pistol.
“No Ben! The scum aint worth it,” Malloy yelled, then held his friend back.
Vernon relished the drama. “I aint got nothin’ nice ta say, so git the hell off my land, and don’t come back without a warrant.”
Thomas tore loose of Malloy’s grip and stomped off toward the cruiser. Malloy turned to the man he hated the most and said, “I know you did it old man, and I’m gonna prove it.” He turned and caught up to his partner.
Believing the diaries held information Vernon wanted kept confidential at least partially satisfied Malloy with the initial interrogation. He considered Vernon the prime suspect.
Yet, the county’s citizenry of sturdy mining stock from foreign countries–never before having such a shocking crime in modern times–was stunned and scared. For, what the volunteer searchers eventually found- was absolutely unthinkable.
