Good morning, good morning. Another wonderful day at TRS Parties. Today I am posting excerpts of my newest release, Murder Most Foul. This book was released jus a few weeks ago. Please comment for a chance to win a free copy of one of my books. Thank you.
“Hello David,” smiled the twenty-eight-year-old extending a petite and well-manicured hand. “It’s nice to meet you.”
“And it’s a pleasure to meet you, Caroline,” he replied accepting the tall slender woman’s shake, and holding on longer than need be. Caroline gently pulled away.
“It’s a busy night for the police station,” laughed Jane. “So, what brings you here David?”
“Shaun and his girlfriend didn’t come home last night, and that’s not like Shaun,” David said downheartedly. “That’s not like Shaun.”
Caroline’s smile went straight when she saw the despair in the small wiry man’s pale face. “I’m sorry this has you so worried,” she said.
“I’m sure it’s nothing, but with Jane and Dan being the social butterflies that they are, I thought perhaps they may have seen the kids today… or yesterday?” David looked at his friends of nine years, with desperate anticipation.
Not wanting to alarm her distraught friend, Jane perked up. “No, I haven’t, but you know how kids are once they turn of age,” she replied with sparkling eyes and big smile. “They think they know it all, so they want their freedom. Shaun and Lorena are probably hanging out with friends. Having a cook out somewhere…and boozing it up as they say.”
