“They were dancing sexually, and the man said he liked it,” recalled Matt. He claimed they had commiserated about women while playing several games of pool. He said the man talked about meeting up with a woman, but told him the two had had an argument and she broke up with him. The man told Matt, he had spent seventy dollars on a meal, but it went to waste, so he came to the bar.
According to Matt, the man seemed distraught, so Matt had bought him a shot of Yukon Jack. He recalled that the man wore a stained white undershirt, a “weird-looking vest,” and a knife clipped to his jeans.
Matt, said, he had left the bar around 2:15 a.m., after the man approached June wanting to dance. He said June told him “’No, I don’t dance.'” He then heard the man say something to the effect of, “‘That’s odd, because most bartenders like to dance.'”
Matt recalled that June seemed as if she wanted to leave, and that the man was highly intoxicated. He described the man as having a “messed-up tooth, and a diamond earring in his left ear.”
